Job Description

Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.

The position will be responsible for driving continuous improvement of procurement activities across the organization. The Sourcing Analyst will develop and interpret spend analytics, establish cost saving initiatives, conduct supplier market assessments, develop and manage formal RFP events, negotiate competitive pricing and contract language, and deliver organizational improvements via cost reductions and supplier added values. The position also supports the capital expense management program, including system administration and sourcing events. The position requires ongoing collaboration with various business groups and leaders to identify strategic sourcing needs and opportunities. Strong analytical, contract negotiation, sourcing, communication, presentation, and vendor relation skills are required of this position.

Essential Job Functions

Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

50% -Drive continuous procurement improvement:

  • Develop and interpret financial analysis that drive continuous operational improvements
  • Establish strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Deliver cost saving results

30% -Conduct activities that support Strategic Sourcing initiatives:

  • Proficiently use technologies used for strategic sourcing, with advanced skills in ERP financial systems, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, and MS Outlook
  • Manage vendor relationships and conduct supplier evaluations
  • Assist with the preparation, distribution and operational reporting

20% -Conduct analytic administration tasks:

  • Accurately report financial impact data from sourcing events
  • Prepare analytical reports to support strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Conduct invoice and spend data mining
  • Manage databases for financial and vendor records

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred)

Experience

  • Minimum four years' experience in a related field (Procurement, Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, or similar)
  • Preferred IT Sourcing background

  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word and SharePoint
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Vendor relations management experience
  • Capital expense management experience
