The Machine Operator position is responsible for performing various tasks in the production machining area within our CNC department including the SAFE Setup and Operation of the following equipment:

The Machine Operator position is responsible for performing various tasks in the production machining area within our CNC department including the SAFE Setup and Operation of the following equipment:

    CNC Horizontal Machining Center
  • CNC tapping machine
  • Manual and CNC Horizontal Band Saw
  • Manual Vertical Mill
  • Radial Drill Press
  • Single and Multi- Spindle Manual Drill Presses
  • Ironworker
  • Pneumatic Tapping Arm
  • Pedestal Mounted and Hand Grinding and Deburring tools.
  • Other operations as the scope of the department expands.


Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and be capable of working in a safe and efficient manner producing quality acceptable parts:

  • Knowledgeable of and responsible for meeting all safety and quality requirements using machine tool equipment - safe working habits a must!
  • Must be able to interpret blueprints and follow work instructions.
  • Ability to verify work produced meets all quality requirements using precision measuring equipment including micrometer, caliper, bore gauge, height gauge, tape measure, etc. as work instructions direct.
  • Maintain a clean work area meeting all 6S requirements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on the equipment used in the Machining processes.
  • Ability to work with and take direction from others as well as communicate effectively with supervision and management.
  • Basic math skills and computer experience - ability to accurately count and complete electronic work order transactions within the production control software (Syteline).
