Job Title: Warehouse Clerk

Reports to: Material Plan Supervisor

Span of Control: Individual Contributor

FLSA Status: Hourly

SUMMARY

Perform all duties necessary for the shipping and receiving operations, including processing outgoing orders, incoming shipments, and customer returns. Operates and utilizes numerous computer database systems and SAP. Assembles, certifies, issues and ensures appropriate documentation accompanies shipments. Coordinates movement of trailer loads to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective end results are achieved. Key responsibilities include accurate inventory tracking, maintaining strong organization, attention to detail, and clear communication with leadership team and supply chain team. Responsible for supporting the cycle count program.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Perform administrative duties required for shipping and receiving of materials including document preparation for product shipments.
  • Coordinate with carriers for safe movement on location for shipments and deliveries
  • Operate and utilize computerized SAP to input and retrieve data.
  • Input and communicate necessary information to set up deliveries and shipments of parts and equipment
  • Direct communication with carriers regarding orders and shipments.
  • Utilize data to analyze most efficient shipping methods and processes to maximize cost savings in accordance with customer requirements (COA's).
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team and communicate shipment changes and issues, including Corporate TSS and warehouse.
  • Track shuttles and rolls to and from warehouse
  • Communicate any shipping information to all necessary stakeholders
  • Complete and maintain records and reports.
  • Support inventory controls for deliveries, returns and cycle counting.
  • Utilize short shipping procedure to communicate shortages to necessAry stakeholders
  • Sign for deliveries of equipment, parts, or other merchandise from UPS, Fed Ex, LTLs, and other various vendors.
  • Participate in the safety, quality, TPM, and 5S programs as established within the plant.
  • Perform other duties as directed Warehouse Leadership.
  • Support carrier appointment Planning in Open Dock scheduling system.
  • Troubleshoot and program RF scanners and set up users for forklift scanners.


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience in Warehouse/Logistics
  • Computer Skills: SAP, Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) Proficient Level: Enter data, create new spreadsheets, create basic formulas
  • Accurate typing skills
  • Capability to present information across all departments, both internally and externally
  • Recognize and analyze reporting or workflow problems, with the capacity to design practical and effective solutions
  • Professional verbal and written communication
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Sense of urgency with attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize daily tasks.
  • Proficiency in multitasking
  • Effective team player
  • Desire and ability to train and coach others.
  • Self-motivated to work independently and meet targets.



ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Hand/Eye Coordination- continuously
  • Walk, sit, stand for duration of shift with regular breaks
  • Lift/carry/move up to 25 lbs. independently and heavier weights with assistance.
  • Climb stairs, steps, and ladders as necessary
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary
  • Able to operate computers & computerized equipment for daily work, as well as quality, safety and compliance testing and training.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers' face to face, by telephone, and electronic communications.
  • Possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment, operate a computer, and other standard office equipment.
  • Vision adequate to manipulate equipment controls, complete paperwork, utilize computers, and have depth perception.
  • Ability to safeguard self with proper PPE for the specific task
  • Exposure to hot/cold temperature- periodically
  • Exposure to noise- periodically
