Supply Chain Intern

RWC is a market leader and manufacturer of water solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. RWC's portfolio of brands includes industry-leading brands: SharkBite Push-to-Connect plumbing solutions; HoldRite engineered plumbing and mechanical solutions; Cash Acme control valves; John Guest fittings and fluid dispense products and and EZ-FLO and Eastman appliance connectors, supply lines, stop valves and gas connectors.

RWC is building a cohort of interns for the Summer of 2025. This will be a challenging opportunity to build skills in your field and create connections with RWC and peers from other Universities.

Position Summary:

• This intern position is responsible for project management related to supply chain disruption and tariff mitigation. From validation of master data to country of origin (COO), HTS codes and resourcing goods, the intern will work with data and projects to minimize disruption to RWC operations. This role is cross functional working with Supply Chain Master Data Management, Fulfillment, Warehouse Operations, Engineering and Product Management.

Principal Responsibilities:

• This intern will play vital role in validating data to ensure the weights and dimensional data integrity is loaded in preparation of new SAP functionality.
• UPC/Barcode validation. Database will be provided to where intern will work in distribution center/warehouse scanning barcodes on each packaging level of product to validate system information. Once validated, will provide any required updates to Master Data team to load.
• UPC/Barcode labeling. For products without a printed barcode on packaging, a database to be created so labels can be printed for the DC associates. Will work with DC Leadership to design labels to be printed for DC on items without barcodes.
• HTS/COO maintenance. As we have had many changes with tariff mitigation, our HTS codes and COO designation needs to be reviewed that we have not missed updating or assigning accordingly
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of master data processes, standards, data governance and data quality concepts.
• Knowledge of SAP Material Master Data and how data is used in business.
• Strong logical reasoning, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong inter-personal, organizational, and communication skills
• Advanced skills in Excel (i.e., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, merging data sets, import/export of data.
• Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision
• Ability to multitask. Take ownership for prioritizing workloads

Education: Working towards Bachelor's degree or greater in Business, Supply Chain Mgmt., Operations Mgmt., Logistics Mgmt., Sustainable Supply Chain Mgmt., Data Science, Data Mgmt.

Experience:

• Experience in a distribution center / warehouse operations environment
• Forklift experience bonus (will train and certify to drive and operate forklift in DC)

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

• This position will be located in Rockwall, TX in office and distribution center
• Internship will be Full time
• Internship will have travel involved including a kick-off in Atlanta and Operations immersion week in Cullman, AL
• The job requires sitting, standing, walking, physical lifting of boxes of product, opening and closing of product packaging
• Driving forklift and operating forklift at heights up to 30' harnessed to equipment
• Excellent vision, hearing, speech, and motor skills are required to perform essential functions of the job
• Safety personal protective equipment is required while working in a distribution center
