| Position Summary: Responsible for the manufacturing, maintenance, and repair of precision tools, molds, and dies used in the production process. This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and machinery. Primary/Essential Responsibilities: 
  
 Construct, modify, and repair precision tools, molds, and dies according to engineering drawings and specifications.Operate a variety of machinery, such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines, to shape and finish tools and components.Ensure that all manufactured tools meet quality standards and specifications through careful inspection and measurement.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with tools, molds, or dies to maintain efficient production processes.Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and make adjustments as needed.Maintain accurate records of tool designs, modifications, and repairs. Document any changes made to tools for future reference.Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Identify and address potential safety hazardsMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsConserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsContribute to team effort by training others in performance of machinist tasks as neededInspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operationDocument actions by completing production and quality formsCommunicate effectively with others at various levels of the organization. 
 Required Qualifications:  
  
 Experience in using various hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machinery such as lathes and milling machines.High level of precision and attention to detail.Ability to analyze and solve problems related to toolmaking and manufacturing processes.Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
 
  
 Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development 
 
  
 Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English. 
 Preferred Qualifications:  
  
 3 or more years in precision machining Knowledge of shut-off surfaces versus molding surfacesExperience with machining components part of larger assemblies and an understanding of how each component fitsBasic polishing and surface finishing experienceOperation and understanding of EDM machines
