*Description*
We are seeking a Sr. Splunk Engineer in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area or Fulton, MD. The Splunk Engineer will join a world class security organization with a highly skilled team responsible for designing, developing, and managing the security services within the organization. The position is hybrid requiring 2 days onsite in the office per week (in either Raleigh-Durham or Fulton, MD). The Splunk engineer will focus on managing and optimizing Splunk. Responsibilities include configuring, customizing, and maintaining Splunk infrastructure, developing dashboards, and ensuring data integrity. Responsibilities for the Splunk Architect include: * Manage multiple SPLUNK environments and create SPLUNK queries and dashboards as needed * Perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, IR, and network security configurations * Research, analyze, and help make decisions on new security tools and technologies * Develop tools and automation utilizing python scripts Requirements for the Splunk Architect include: * Over 5 years of Splunk engineering experience * Experience working with Splunk on prem and the cloud (AWS) * Strong background with both the backend and front end of Splunk * Python scripting experience * Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S. Government Clearance. *Skills* Splunk, Security, Splunk enterprise, Ansible, Automation, Administration, Python, Scripting *Top Skills Details* Splunk,Security,Splunk enterprise,Ansible,Automation,Administration,Python,Scripting *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Work will involve developing dashboards, writing queries, and integrating data sources to provide actionable insights. *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
