Flight Test Engineer, Production

Summary of Position

Perform ground and flight activities related to production flight ATP. Evaluate and suggest trouble shooting to resolve Avionic and Mechanical issues. Interpret and evaluate Hums and Aces data. Interpret and evaluate flight avionics and mechanical failures. Enter flight records and flight hours on Aircraft logbook. Responsible for Flight acceptance of the aircraft. Develop and administer OJT and re-occurring training of flight line staff as needed in regards to ground and flight testing. Interact with DO and PE for flight and Ground ATPs new implementation and evaluation of data. Interact with customer for flight data evaluation required during acceptance.

* Maintain flight records

* Coordinate flight activities with pilots.

* Develop and administer training

* Aircraft flight acceptance

* Interact with DO and PE for new testing

* Perform other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications for Position:

Education

* BS in Engineering desirable or equivalent, A&P license desirable.

Experience

* Five years' flight test experience preferred. Flight experience preferred. Flight line troubleshooting preferred.

* Strong understanding of aviation technology.

* Ability to teach and develop technical abilities in employees as well as lead people effectively by guiding and coaching others to improve skills and achieve goals.

* Strong written and oral communication skills.

* Ability to fly in aircraft as part of a flight crew with multiple groups.

* Ability to learn multiple airframes and perform testing under the pressure of production schedules.

* Abilities to learn and develop new procedures in coordination with engineering.

Licensure/Certification

* Ability to pass and maintain a FAA flight physical.
