Overview

The Project Finance Manager is responsible for project financial reporting, cash flow, revenue, and expenses and drives accountability and transparency of projects.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Controller, the general scope of the position will include but not be limited to:

    Conduct detailed financial analysis of projects
  • Reviews of budget, forecasts and cash flow for individual projects
  • Supports timely change management processes especially at month end
  • Participates in internal and external audits
  • Reports on financial progress for various stakeholders
  • Recommend project performance improvements
  • Drives collaboration between multiple stakeholders
  • Assesses project risk
  • Conduct post-close project reviews
  • Determine and communicate best practices
  • Supervision of one team member
  • Assess future project pipeline


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; MBA, CPA, CMA or equivalent preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience ideally in construction or related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive alignment, decision-making, and execution in highly cross-functional, ambiguous environments without direct authority.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
  • When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
  • Set a personal example of safe behavior.
  • Proficiency in complex project accounting principles
  • Knowledge and understanding in reading and interpreting Engineering and Contract documents.
  • Strong understanding of project controls
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong knowledge of InEight or Vista Software / Oracle ERP systems.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage simultaneous tasks/assignments.
  • Exceptional team building skills and ability to collaborate with groups throughout the company.
