What You'll Do

This position will be located at our Corporate Office: 2355 W Pinnacle Peak Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85027

The Data Engineer plays a key role in supporting the organization's analytical and reporting needs by designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines. This role involves managing systems, data warehouses/marts, development & testing, and ensuring the availability of high-quality, well-prepared data for organizational reporting and analysis.

  • Develop and maintain scalable ELT pipelines using Snowflake and related tools. Automate data extraction, loading, and transformation to support analytics, reporting, and downstream processes.
  • Implement data transformation logic to ensure accurate, high-quality data for analytics. Ensure consistency with business objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the data model and architecture, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Support and maintain data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Informatica). Troubleshoot and optimize these systems as needed.
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data pipelines, queries, and systems for efficient processing and minimal latency.
  • Automate processes and improve data workflows. Continuously assess and adopt new tools and technologies to enhance data maturity and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Data Governance team to ensure consistent application of data policies and business rules across systems.
  • Follow best practices for data handling, especially sensitive data, and ensure adherence to organizational compliance and security policies.
  • Work with business teams to translate their needs into technical solutions. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and other stakeholders to align technical work with business goals.

What You Bring

  • H.S. Diploma Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field required.
  • Master's Degree Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-8 years similar or related experience in data engineering or an equivalent combination of experience and education required.
  • Previous financial services industry experience. Experience in data science, technology management or Fintech domain preferred.
  • Strong experience with Snowflake, including data loading, transformation, and data modeling.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including writing optimized queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with data integration and transformation tools (e.g., dbt, Apache Airflow).
  • Experience in Python for pipeline development and API integrations.
  • Familiarity with database optimization, and data governance practices.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines preferred.
  • Business acumen and project management skills preferred.
  • Experience with the CDMC framework preferred.
  • Azure: Azure Data Engineer Certification preferred.
  • Snowflake: SnowPro Advanced Certification for Data Engineers preferred.
