How you will impact Ingevity:

  • Monitor DCS graphics and controls to effectively operator equipment
  • Operate heavy equipment
  • Ensure the DCS controls are always monitored by qualified individuals
  • Operate equipment in a stable manner during "startup" or "shut down" conditions
  • Report and address any abnormalities
  • Perform any standard testing required for the area
  • Follows DOIs (Daily Operating Instructions)
  • Check emails regularly and complete on-line and in-person training as needed
  • Records relevant information in log sheets at end of the shift
  • Keeps Tour Foreman up to date on issues/concerns.
  • Follow instructions and complete checklists as required

What you need to succeed

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of production/industrial experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Computer skills to communicate and participate in reporting and learning
  • Ability to think ahead and coordinate - be proactive
  • Ability to manage situations under pressure
  • Results from Wonderlic assessment required as issued by Ingevity recruiter.

Shift work plus availability for overtime will be required. The hiring process includes, drug screen, criminal background check, and physical prior to hire.
