The purpose of the Quality Assurance Manager is to provide leadership and direction of the quality function in order to influence and assist the Repair Center Manager with the implementation of the GATX Maintenance Group Strategic Initiatives. The focus will be to manage the quality management system and its components to ensure compliance to regulatory and GATX requirements. This position will also be responsible for the leadership and development of quality personnel. To act as a technical liaison for investigating and resolving car issues, customer complaints, and audit findings. This position will focus on extensive research and analysis of quality and maintenance related issues. It is an independent, cross-functional, key position that contributes significant knowledge and influence to the GATX Maintenance Group in order to achieve our defined initiatives. The Manager of Quality Assurance is also a key member of the leadership team at the Terre Haute facility. Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and train the development and maintenance of the quality system and all of its processes to ensure that the cars produced satisfy all given customer, regulatory, and Company requirements.
Qualifications Interaction: This position will interact with senior executives, functional leaders, service center managers, and operations staff throughout the organization. Key functional groups and customers for this position are Quality, Operations, Inspection, Materials, NDE, Customer Service, Fleet Execution, Engineering, and Maintenance Procurement among others. This position will focus on extensive research and analysis of quality and maintenance related issues. It is an independent, cross-functional, key position that contributes significant knowledge and influence to the GATX Maintenance Group in order to achieve our defined initiatives. As of the poste date, the salary range for this position is $94,000 minimum to $103,000 max. This range is a reasonable estimate and takes into account several factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, geographic location, skill set, experience, education, training, internal equity, and other business needs. Posting Duration This posting will remain open until the role is filled. As of the post date, the salary range for this position is: Min USD $94,000.00/Yr. Max USD $103,000.00/Yr. This role may be eligible to participate in the Company's short-term incentive plan, the details of which will be provided to the applicant upon hire. This range is a reasonable estimate and takes into account several factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, geographic location, skill set, experience, education, training, internal equity, and other business needs. |
