The Internal Audit Intern is responsible for assisting with audit preparation, documentation gathering, research, and file/account testing, conducting closed account letters and signature card review, and create, develop and use analytical spreadsheets and special projects as needed and deemed appropriate to the position.

Description
* Assisting with audit preparation work for Internal Audits, External Audits, and Regulatory Exams. This will include documentation gathering, research, and file/account testing.
* Conduct regular monthly activity items such as closed account letters and signature card review
* There will also be opportunities for special projects as needed and deemed appropriate to the position

Education Requirements

  • Must be a current undergraduate in the Purdue Krannert School of Management with a declared major in accounting, finance or business. Must be able to work 20 hrs. per/week during the school semester and 40 hrs. per/week during the summer months

Additional Requirements


  • Basic knowledge of internal controls
  • Familiarity with accounting concepts and theory
  • Technical competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively - both orally and in writing
  • Ability to assimilate and summarize information
  • Ability to analyze information and come to a conclusion
  • Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts
  • Ability to follow the core values of honesty, integrity, mutual respect, pride and ownership
