Description

Join UCLA Health as an Accountant IV in Medical
Center Financial Services and take on a critical role in maintaining the
financial integrity of one of the nation's leading health systems. Under the
direction of the Senior General Accounting Manager, you will provide high-level
technical accounting support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

In this role, you will:


  • Prepare
    monthly journal entries for both the University and Medical Center general
    ledgers.
  • Analyze
    expense variances and process accrual and adjustment entries as needed.
  • Reconcile
    and maintain balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Support
    the monthly budget variance reporting process.
  • Lead
    the annual inventory count and valuation.
  • Assist
    with implementation of new systems and tools, accounts payable check
    writing, and both interim and annual audits.

Salary Range: $83,800 - $179,400 annually

Qualifications*

We're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional with:


  • Bachelor's
    degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • At
    least 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Advanced
    proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ERP systems,
    and common desktop/web tools.
  • Strong
    knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and financial transaction systems.
  • Ability
    to research and recommend appropriate accounting treatments.
  • Strong
    analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability
    to multitask and prioritize effectively in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability
    to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong
    interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
  • CPA
    certification. Preferred
