The Portfolio Director will oversee the strategic management and optimization of the company's portfolio of projects and investments. This role involves leading a team of portfolio managers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and driving performance improvements across the portfolio.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement portfolio strategies that align with the company's objectives and market trends
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the selection, prioritization, and execution of projects within the portfolio to maximize value and minimize risk
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze portfolio performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, project teams, and external partners to ensure successful portfolio outcomes
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with portfolio projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards

Required Qualifications:



  • 8+ years of experience in portfolio management or project management
  • 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Proficiency in portfolio management software and tools
  • Proven solid analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Proven excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve strategic goals
  • Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Communication: Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-Solving: Proven solid problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Adaptability: Proven flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and organizational needs



Preferred Qualification:



  • PMP, PfMP, or other relevant certifications

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
