Summary:

The Industrial Engineer I will guide and support efforts to ensure Performance Excellence programs are developed and managed using a data-driven focus which sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. The Industrial Engineer I role is at the center of critical efforts to continuously evolve the organization and make impactful changes. This is a hands-on role, diving deep to understand the current processes utilizing extensive data analysis, statistical methods, and process and value stream mapping to understand root causes and provide recommendations.

Responsibilities:


  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
  • Acquires data and converts it to information to draw conclusions for recommendations
  • Analyzes data and processes to perform gap analysis
  • Supports root cause to drive corrective action across all departments of the organization
  • Supports improvement activity and action plans
  • Supports using Lean principles to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Participates with teams, work groups, projects, and activities designed to improve operational performance and processes
  • Supports cross-functional teams in the deployment of processes to provide improved results
  • Tracks performance metrics and provides feedback to project leads
  • Assists to capture and report on project deliverables
  • Must ve proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Outlook
  • Must be familiar with the basics of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Must have the ability to work full-time in a hospital, clinic, or office environment
  • Must be able to work with all levels of associates across the organization
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Participates in other special projects and performs other job duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Health Systems Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • 0 - 2 years of experience required
  • Preferred experience in a healthcare setting
  • Lean Green Belt, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
