We are looking for a Water Truck Driver to join our team! You will be responsible to operate and maintain water truck to control dust on projects and pits. Will need to display a
professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members.
This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits
continue year round.
Salary range: $25.00 - $28.00
Hours per week: 40+
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
- Safely and properly perform maintenance on water truck.
- Safely and properly operate water truck.
- Safely apply water to meet job specifications and needs.
- Properly record gallons of water used to fill truck and source obtained.
- Ensure proper permits are obtained for applicable loading sites.
- Help and clean designated areas as needed.
- Assist laborers or roller operators with dumping trucks, shoveling, flagging as needed.
- Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated,
team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others. - Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors.
- Ensure OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
- Assist in loading and unloading equipment for transport, including load securement.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to hold and maintain a proper licensure - CDL required.
- Class A preferred, but class B is eligible as well.
- Tanker endorsements.
- Able to assist Gravel/Base crew with tasks when not watering.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and some Saturdays.
