Description
The Private Sector Business Unit (PSBU) is a diverse business that consists of three main market areas, Production, Distribution and Energy, with the Distribution Market also including a strategic focus on technology clients (i.e. Data Centers, Chip Manufacturing). The PSBU Leader must be a proven water/environmental industry expert with experience in growing a strategic, profitable business. The PSBU leader will be expected to drive long-term profitable growth for BC by leveraging an in-depth understanding of market drivers, client needs, and value driven solutions provided by BC, The PSBU Leader will lead market strategy for the PSBU, in coordination with the company executive management team, and leverage cross business group synergies to result in accelerated growth (i.e. nexus of municipal water and energy). The ability to inspire and lead other experienced managers is a critical component of this role. Effective decision making and business acumen are key. Demonstrated sales, project/ business management, client relationship management, and operations skills are essential. This key company leader will be part of the Executive Leadership team and will be responsible for accelerating the profitable growth of the Private Sector Business Unit and help make Brown and Caldwell the Company of Choice for our most trusted clients, employees, and business partners. Detailed Description: Candidates must be able to build and sustain a collaborative environment that truly demonstrates client service, technology, innovation, professionalism, and teamwork. The successful candidate will be a proven leader able to drive significant growth (5%-10% above company and market) in the Private Sector. They will be energetic, a compelling communicator with exceptional diplomatic and persuasive skills, capable of listening and interacting effectively with staff and clients at all organizational levels. The ability to make quick, data driven decisions to drive business profitability and growth is critical. This position reports directly to the President or Chief Operating Officer working closely with the other operating Business Units and Enterprise Services. Job Responsibilities Expectations: The Business Unit Leader is expected to demonstrate excellence in leadership, deliver high-quality work products, and achieve strong financial performance. They will also be responsible for accelerating the growth of our client base (more, large-scale clients). This leadership role requires critical thinking, agile decision-making in a high-velocity environment, strong business acumen, decisive decision-making, extraordinary talent management ability, and sound ethical character and executive presence. Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.
