HERE. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS This part time position supports the Elderly Services Department in operating various recreation programs in community centers. The Recreation Program Assistant helps plan, schedule, and carry out a wide range of recreational activities, special events, and seasonal programs for participants of all ages, with a focus on our older adult residents.
Responsibilities include assisting with facility permits, transporting program participants, and delivering supplies, marketing materials, and other departmental items to Senior Centers, Community Centers, and City Hall. The work is performed under the supervision of the Elderly Services Director or their designee. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SALARY, BARGAINING UNIT & TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT This is a Special Funds "Non Tested" position. Continued employment contingent upon availability of future funding. Funding may be terminated at any time.
This part time position is not eligible to receive medical benefits, vacation pay, union membership, or union contractual benefits. Any period of part time employment will not be construed in any way to mean probationary employment. Persons may not be employed in two concurrent positions with the City and/or the Board of Education at the same time.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of: (1) a pre-employment background check,and (2) if over 18, a pre-employment drug screening in accordance with the City's Drug Free Workplace Policy*.
