Job Description

The Senior Human Resource Generalist is responsible for providing professional-level HR support for our internal business partners. The Generalist will focus in the areas of talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, employee onboarding, data analytics, compliance, employee recognition and HR special projects. This position is a strategic and tactical business partner. It will work closely with employees and Westrock Coffee management while supporting the strategic initiatives of the HR team and organization. This position requires a perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition



  • Source, screen, and present candidates to hiring managers for consideration.
  • Partner with hiring managers to select top talent.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning the talent acquisition process.
  • Maintain communication with applicants and hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Ensure positions are filled in a timely manner.


Employee Relations



  • Provides superior Human Resources support to all levels of the organization and to many different sites/locations.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to employees and management regarding interpretation, compliance, and enforcement of Human Resource policies and procedures, state and federal laws.
  • Works with employees and management to help answer questions, resolve concerns and/or investigate employee complaints/allegations.
  • Apprises management on the status of issues and concerns being addressed and recommendations for disciplinary actions as appropriate.
  • Recommends policy and practice changes in support of continuous improvement.


Employee Engagement & Onboarding



  • Actively participates in/coordinates new employee orientation and onboarding.
  • Manages relocation services for existing and new employees.
  • Coordinates HR social media and other employee communication resources.
  • Manages employee recognition efforts to include service awards and other programs.
  • Coordinates round tables/town halls in support to company's employee engagement initiatives.
  • Plans and executes various employee-centered events and activities throughout the year.
  • Facilitates the employee performance management process for our administrative, service and sales business units.


Other Functions



  • Coordinates the unemployment claim process in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Manages various human resource projects designed to add value to the organization.
  • Manages and analyzes data related to hiring, turnover, employee satisfaction, etc.
  • May facilitate employee training programs to various levels within the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification

Qualifications:



  • A bachelor's degree in Management, Human Resources, Psychology or related field and 3+ years human resources experience; or any like combination of education and experience.
  • Human Resource experience both in a corporate and manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • HR certification a plus
  • Proven ability to manage projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Firm understanding of employment laws.
  • Strong ability to help resolve employee issues and concerns.
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft office suite products.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Enterprise eTime a plus.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Strong initiative, ability to anticipate issues proactively.
