JOB TITLE: UW ACRES Student Farm Intern JOB PURPOSE: Help with production and repair of the UW ACRES student Farm located at the Laramie Research and Extension Center in Laramie, WY. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Weeding, planting and harvesting of vegetable and cover crops Pruning established plants at the farm Recovering and repair of five high tunnels at the farm Reorganizing the farm building Rebuilding the farm's compost center Recording data of plants grown at the farm MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma and at least one college level chemistry or biology course DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Good organizational and time management skills Problem solving skills Interest in crop production and gardening REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS: Complete the online application.
