Job Objective: The Outdoor Learning & Creative Art Aide is responsible for overseeing hands-on learning experiences in the Outdoor Learning Center and leading engaging craft activities during camper free time. General Camp Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School diploma or equivalent Experience: Minimum one year working with children in an educational or camp setting preferred. Certifications/Licenses: None Skills/Abilities:
Supervisory Responsibility: In an assist role supervising crew member Physical Requirements: Speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterity to be able to perform craft and bead activities; lifting, pulling and pushing of materials up to 15 pounds; requires bending, squatting and walking; standing up to 6-8 hours per day; Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Travel: None Driving: Driving is not required but preferred. Staff with a valid license from the state of residence will apply for approval through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program. If approved, the candidate might be asked to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Working Conditions: Work is performed on the camp grounds and does include week days and weekends based on the summer camp and divisional schedule. Minimum 20 hour work weeks.
