Department Overview
PG&E's Corporate Real Estate Strategy and Services (CRESS) organization is responsible for managing, governing, planning, acquiring, designing, constructing, operating, and maintaining approximately 7.7million square feet (sq. ft.) of facilities throughout PG&E's 72,000square mile service territory. These facilities include but are not limited to service centers, data centers, contact centers, office buildings, shops, warehouses, construction and equipment yards, vehicle maintenance garages, and training facilities. CRESS is also organized by region to support PG&E regional management model. Each region will have at least one regional workplace manager.
Position Summary
The Regional Workplace Manager (North Coast Region 1) is responsible for the overall coworker experience at CRESS facilities within the respective region and works collaboratively with other regional managers to ensure the coworker experience is optimized in every region. This includes not only the general look and feel of the workplace, but also the management, operations, and financial performance of building operations, ongoing maintenance and repair of buildings, mechanical/electrical systems, equipment, and grounds keeping, and for the provision of a safe working environment. The regional manager provides operational delivery and management support of facility services. The regional workplace manager will also be required to support PG&E's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in response to various events. The regional manager works collaboratively with other CRESS functions to prioritize, authorize, and oversee asset management, maintenance, and repairs to PG&E buildings. The manager will ensure safe, reliable, compliant and comfortable workspace that achieves a positive coworker experience allowing our coworkers to focus on their important work.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $128,000
Bay Area Maximum: $218,000
This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the Region 1-North Coast (Santa Rosa or other site within the region). Travel required up to 50%.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages, leads, coaches, mentors, and develops team.
- Collaborates with CRESS strategy, planning, business operations, and other functions to ensure seamless cross team efforts to optimize and operate its workspaces
- Collaborates with PG&E Corporate Security to ensure physical security at all company offices, buildings, and locations, IT for network connectivity and information technology, and other PG&E teams/groups that co-enable workspace.
- Ensures all departmental processes and standards adhere and comply with all federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines.
- Ensures the operations and processes of the assigned department and/or section adhere and comply with all federal, state, and local laws, codes, and agency regulations.
- Establishes the direction and leadership to support workspace operations of respective workspaces with a region that may include one or more of the following physical and/or functional areas:
- General Office Operations
- Field Operations
- Emergency Operations
- Critical Facility Operations
- Conferencing Services
- Vendor or Expense management
- Food service or other amenities
- Manages the planning, implementation, and monitoring of maintenance, preventative maintenance, mechanical, and electrical programs, and initiatives.
- Oversees and ensures the health, safety, emergency, disaster preparedness, and risk management within an assigned department and/or section.
- Oversees and partners with PG&E's functional area operations and the Corporate Real Estate Strategy and Services alliance partner for the continuous improvement, cost minimization, and maximum utilization of facilities management operational programs and initiatives.
- Responsible for the management and oversight of facility management services and operations within an assigned region.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- Seven (7) years of Job-related experience
- Three (3) years of supervisory or management experience
- CA Class C License, or equivalent with a clean driving record
Desired:
- Graduate Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience in facilities operations and systems management
- Experience in corporate real estate, or related discipline
- Experience in process and procedure development
