We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join our dynamic group in ViiV Healthcare's Insights & Analytics team as the manager over our Payer Access Analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the coordination, integration, reporting, and analyses of payer and other market access data for our portfolio of products focusing on the treatment and prevention of HIV. You will be the primary contact and organizational expert for all payer-related business questions and will develop a deep understanding of respective data sources, along with best practices around that data.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

Payer Reporting:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive payer reporting systems to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of payer reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather relevant & evolving requirements.

Analytic Insights:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of pharmaceutical market trends, competitive landscapes, and payer behavior to proactively identify growth opportunities and thoughtfully articulate potential risks.
  • Provide actionable insights through data visualization (dashboards & presentations) to support strategic decision-making.

Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with internal SMEs and key organizational leaders to define and refine business strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term plans, market growth strategies, and product positioning, aligned with business objectives.

Business Intelligence Tools:

  • Implement cutting-edge business intelligence tools and technologies to enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Train and support team members in effectively utilizing sophisticated tools spanning multiple input sources for data analysis and reporting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Market Access (Payer Field Team & Access Strategy), Field Reimbursement, Sales, Brand Marketing, Finance, Consulting Partners, and other departments to gather input, align strategies, and ensure a cohesive approach to payer analytic initiatives.

Data Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and maintain data quality standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of payer data used in reporting and analysis.
  • Implement measures to identify and resolve data inconsistencies and anomalies.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to the proper use and reporting of payer data.
  • Ensure all quantitative and analytic activities and applications adhere to regulatory standards and guidelines.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of payer initiatives, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Implement key performance metrics to measure the success of data-driven strategies.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, business analytics, or mathematics or computer science
  • 5+ years' experience in business intelligence, analytics, or market access role within the medical industry.
  • Experience with payer data sources (MMIT, IQVIA, etc.), regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (PowerBI/DAX preferred) and data analysis techniques.
  • Project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in data science, business analytics, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in a leadership role within data science, business intelligence, and/or analytics in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing cutting-edge business insight tools and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical market trends, competitive landscapes, and payer behavior.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful data-driven strategies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to payer reporting.
  • Strong strategic thinking and long-term planning skills.
  • Training and mentoring experience, especially in the use of business intelligence tools.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating the performance of initiatives driven by big data analytics.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Foundational skills in data management (SQL queries, including table joins, aggregations, and summaries, Databricks).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities.
