We are looking for a Finance Specialist, Remarketing to join Element Fleet Management. As the largest pure-play fleet manager in the world, we provide unmatched products and services and solutions to our clients.

As the Finance Specialist, Remarketing, working closely with our Financial Accounting team, you will ensure timely review and clearing of aged reconciling items. Additionally, working with our auction and client sales teams, you will provide support for the cash application desk. You will support the team through the receipt, reconciliation, and application of funds received from the vehicle auctions, and client-initiated purchases. You will collaborate with teams across Element, including Finance, Commercial, Operations, Continuous Improvement and Audit.

A Day in the Life

  • Perform reconciliation of the Check Security holding account of all closed but uncleared amounts for research and follow-up
  • Support the Cash Application Associate with receipts, daily deposits and reconciliation and balancing client accounts
  • Working closely with Element's Finance and Accounting teams including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Support internal& external audit initiatives and SOC1 compliance
  • Support Client Sales Associates in the timely receipt of Client Sales Notices and Payments from Clients and commence sale process. Ensure validation of sale documentation, payment amount, taxes, Fair Market Value, billing requirements, and special instructions for sale transactions
  • Input invoices into Accounts Payable for refunds and/or vendor payments when necessary
  • Support revenue goals through maximizing fee attainment through client & driver sale programs, premium buyouts, and Advanced Purchase Program initiatives
  • Strive to do it right the first time, every time, with speed, accuracy, quality of execution and a zero-defect culture
  • Contribute to a team that is easy to do business with combined with commitments aligned to customer expectations

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree strongly Preferred)
  • Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping experience or field of study
  • 3 to 5 years business experience is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn and adapt to programs and apps designed specifically for Element Fleet Management

Knowledge and Competencies

  • Solid PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and user level application knowledge, data entry and typing skills and be familiar with general office equipment
  • Must have strong problem solving, business judgement and decision-making skills
  • Must be organized with the ability to multi-task with good time management skills
  • Excellent professional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong planning, execution and proven analytical skills (ability to think through and problem solve)
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Able to evaluate information, connect concepts and apply corrections
  • Enjoys working with numbers and math, and locating patterns/inaccuracies in data
  • Ability to work under pressure, using tact, discretion and good judgment to respond to all requests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster teamwork and relationships

The hiring base salary range for this position is $60,400 - $83,100 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
