Main Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

1. Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-up and delivery shipments.
2. Identify, weigh and release material to production as needed per work order.
3. Remove and identify remnants and turnings from production machines as needed.
4. Maintain production and shipping logs
5. Package and label parts using vision system
6. Clean production floor daily to remove debris and oil mist.
7. Other tasks at supervisor discretion.

EFFORT

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Environmental Surroundings -Work is in a machine shop environment where noise, temperature fluctuations, the repetitive nature of the job, etc. are less desirable than a typical office environment.

Unavoidable Hazards:

Possible hazards related to cuts, bruises, finger and hand injuries, and muscle strains. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, metalworking fluids, and airborne particles. Appropriate protective wear regarding eye, ear and clothing are required.

Material or Product Responsibilities:

Performs duties that require close attention to work and supporting documentations specifications and other requirements.

Safety Responsibilities:

Good housekeeping, adherence to and enforcement of Company Safety Rules.

EDUCATION / TRAINING

Demonstrated ability to read and write English as required in Company shop documents, shipping and receiving documentation and computer software entry and processing requirements.

Compensation:

DOE $23.00/hr to $25.00/hr

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

1. Computer skills preferred, but will train.

2. Logistics experience preferred, but will train.
