From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis U.S. Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Production Supervisor based in Casa Grande, Arizona.

The Production Supervisor leads and directs production employees to optimize productivity within assigned shifts and areas. Responsibilities include planning and assigning work, facilitating weekly Continuous Improvement (CI) meetings, and proactively addressing and resolving product and employee concerns. This role ensures compliance with Company policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable laws, while actively participating in CI processes and the Management Operating Structure (MOS).

Schedule: Monday through Friday 2pm - 10pm

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Work with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity in the plant.
  • Ensure proper procedures are in place and being followed for production efficiency, quality of product, employee safety, and state and federal guidelines.
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments to machines.
  • Coordinate production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
  • Evaluate needs in production for daily assignment of duties; establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Evaluate probationary period progress of new employees.
  • Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Maintain time and production records as required.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Provide supervision of assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action and performance management. If a collective bargaining agreement exists, may participate grievances or other contract related activities and discussions.
  • Train and instruct employees regarding production and equipment standards and processes. Oversee instruction, implementation and enforcement of policies as they relate to employees.
  • Lead by example with the CWD "Code of Quality". This includes following Company policies, standards and specifications.
  • Engage in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating and delegating.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with food manufacturing. Dairy production a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and adhering to Safety and Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
  • Proven ability to understand and follow Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, including identifying, reporting, and ensuring resolution of deficiencies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
  • Ability to select, coach, develop, engage and retain a team of employees.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills that enable high level interaction with senior management within the company and across our customer and supply base.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands and stretch and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Must have full range of body motion.
