Job Overview
The Enterprise Compliance Program Business Analyst is a key contributor responsible duty related to regulatory relations and the implementation of strategic efforts for the Enterprise Compliance function to ensure the organization continues to adhere to regulatory requirements by analyzing business processes, identifying potential risks, and recommending solutions for improvement. This role involves collaboration with multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority, both internal and external, to maintain a robust and effective Compliance program.
Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The Enterprise Compliance Business Analyst will help drive project management and execution of both strategic and ad hoc Enterprise Compliance projects.
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of both Enterprise Compliance program elements as well as the Regulatory Relations function. Continuously monitoring compliance programs and preparing detailed reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Support evaluation and documentation of various Chief Enterprise Compliance Officer (CECO) organization processes to ensure they are aligned to regulatory requirements or best practices.
- Perform regulatory or macroeconomic environment research and assist with analysis to stay up to date on relevant changes in the industry or economic environment and impacts to Valley to support reporting for executive management and the Board.
- Draft or support the creation and development of content and collaboration for various organizational presentations. Designing and implementing compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Ensure Regulatory Agencies have the right level of information timely through maintenance of detailed records and tracking of regulatory correspondence, exams and inquiries. Actively follow up on open items. Maintain detailed records and oversight of regulatory issues within the issues management system, adhering to principles of managing confidential supervisory information.
- Organize and manage meetings supported by the Enterprise Compliance and Regulatory Relations function (including those with external regulatory agencies), ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members. Compile meeting minutes and outcomes, track and follow-up on action items or deliverables, report on progress.
- Maintain a comprehensive calendar to track important dates and deliverables for the Compliance function.
- Collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve common objectives, develop new or enhanced reporting, metrics and KPIs. Working closely with various departments to ensure compliance initiatives are integrated into business processes. Provide meaningful reports on strategic projects as well as regulatory engagement timeliness, volume, frequency and themes. Analyzing compliance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs to increase awareness of compliance risk and promote culture vigilance and compliance within the organization. Conducts training sessions for employees to ensure they understand compliance requirements and best practices.
- Acting as a point of contact for regulatory bodies and responding to inquiries and requests for information.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of applicable Banking Regulations and Banking Operations.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, organizational, and research skills.
- Ability to organize large data sets using Excel, PowerBI or other data analysis tooling.
- Enhanced computer and technology skills in Microsoft applications (Powerpoint, Excel, SharePoint).
- Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and presentation skills.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and as a productive team member.
- Proactively identifies areas of improvement and drive projects and progress to execute improvements.
- Positive, motivated, goal oriented, and capable of calmly addressing emergency and crisis situations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of leading industry trends and the ability to identify probable future environments.
Required Experience:
- High School with a minimum of 4 years of banking or compliance experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous Metrics, Reporting, and Quality Control/Testing experience in the Banking industry
- Professional Certification(s) -- Banking, Fraud, Financial Crimes, and/or Money Laundering

$69,800.00 - $117,700.00 / year
