The Opportunity: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing and Training Specialist to join our team in the crop insurance industry. This hybrid role bridges marketing, training, and technology support - ensuring that our internal teams and customers are informed, equipped, and excited about our evolving suite of digital tools.

As a critical member of our technology rollout cycle, you'll be responsible for understanding and communicating the value of new and existing technology features, creating engaging marketing materials, writing clear and comprehensive user guides and handouts, producing training videos, and delivering live demos to our sales team and users. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Sales, Support, and Risk.

This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative role that demands strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of crop insurance operations.

  • Location: Fargo, ND, or Ramsey, MN
  • Work Arrangement: This role will require 3-5 days/week in the office. The hours for this role are 7:30am-4:15pm CST Monday through Thursday, and 7:30am-12pm CST on Fridays
  • The starting salary range for this role is between $63,000-$94,000 depending on experience.

Your New Role:

  • Technology Training & Rollout
    • Stay aligned with the technology release cycle - learn and evaluate new features and enhancements.
    • Develop and deliver demos and virtual/live training sessions for internal sales teams and external users.
    • Assist in the support and troubleshooting of new technology features during and after rollout.
  • Marketing & Communications
    • Write and edit marketing materials, product announcements, and promotional content highlighting new and existing tech features.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to align messaging with brand voice and strategic goals.
    • Create engaging and visually appealing content such as infographics, product highlights, and newsletters.
  • Technical Writing & Content Development
    • Author clear, user-friendly technology guides and how-to documentation for new and existing system features.
    • Create instructional videos and tutorials that simplify complex technical topics for a broad audience.
    • Maintain and update existing documentation as products evolve.
    • Copy-editing of all marketing, training, and communication roll-outs.
  • Customer & Sales Support
    • Partner with sales and support teams to ensure consistent, customer-friendly messaging.
    • Gather feedback from end-users and the sales team to continuously improve training and communication materials.
    • Provide frontline assistance during major tech rollouts and gather feedback to pass along to product teams.

Work Experience:

Necessary Work Experience includes:

  • 3-4 year's experience in a Crop Insurance, Marketing, or Technology Training role.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in marketing, training, or technical writing-preferably in agriculture, crop insurance, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of crop insurance processes and terminology is highly preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise content.
  • Comfortable creating video content and using video editing software or screen recording tools (e.g., Camtasia, Acorn, Loom, Adobe Premiere).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate across departments and present confidently.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), CRM platforms, or customer support systems is a plus.

Nice to Have:

  • Background in agriculture, crop insurance, or insurance technology platforms.
  • Experience working in an Agile or tech product development environment.
  • Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) and analytics platforms.

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience.
