Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Data Management

Job Overview: The Senior Project Manager - Data Management will oversee data management operations, portal maintenance, program coordination, training initiatives, and cross-collaborative activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex, multi-site biomedical research projects with a strong understanding of data governance, public data portals, and scientific collaboration networks.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management, Analysis, and Sharing



  • Lead the operation of a scalable, secure, and extensible data management system.





  • Oversee data collection, storage, quality control, analysis, and sharing activities.





  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FISMA, Common Rule, and NIH data sharing guidelines.





  • Manage integration and interoperability with ImmPort, IEDB, BRCs, CEIRR, and related repositories.





  • Develop SOPs, user guides, QA/QC procedures, and validation reports.



Portal Development and Maintenance



  • Oversee the maintenance and evolution of a client's public/private web portal.





  • Ensure portals support browsing, querying, tracking vaccine candidates, and public communication of CIVICs research.





  • Coordinate transfer of legacy systems as needed.



Program Coordination, Training, Communication



  • Coordinate client working groups, subcommittees, and collaborative meetings.





  • Support logistics for the client annual meeting and special events.





  • Develop and maintain systems for tracking reagents, SOPs, samples, and vaccine candidates.





  • Provide training and consultations to client investigators on DMCC-supported resources.



Reporting and Publications



  • Assist in preparation of periodic status reports and scientific manuscripts.





  • Generate QA/QC reports, publications tracking, and data usage analytics for internal and external audiences.



Qualifications



  • Minimum 8 years of Project Management experience in data-centric or biomedical research environments.





  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Biomedical Informatics, Computer Science, Project Management, or related field.





  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), CSM (Certified Scrum Master),





  • 5+ years experience working on federally funded programs or contracts.





  • Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-site biomedical or clinical research data.





  • Expertise in data standards, interoperability practices (FAIR principles), and scientific data portals.





  • Hands-on experience with ImmPort, IEDB, NCBI resources, BRCs, or similar systems highly preferred.





  • Knowledge of HIPAA, FISMA, and Common Rule regulatory requirements.





  • Experience developing SOPs, governance documentation, and training materials.





  • Outstanding organizational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.



Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $170,000 to $185,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary is $178,000 for this role. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
