Senior Quality Assurance Manager

Location - Ideally located in AZ, TX, WA or OR. We have office locations in Vancouver, Corvallis, Phoenix, and Austin. This role will involve travel to Greenberry office and job sites, as well as supplier locations.

Are you a strategic, driven leader with a passion for quality excellence and continuous improvement? Greenberry is seeking an experienced Director of Quality Assurance to lead and elevate our quality systems across a diverse industrial fabrication and construction environment. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the owner and architect of our Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ASME, ISO 9001, AFC, and NQA-1, ensuring ongoing compliance while driving innovation and operational performance.

As a key member of the leadership team, you'll define the vision for quality across our organization, collaborating with operations, engineering, field services, and executive stakeholders. You will mentor and develop a high-performing QA/QC team, promote a proactive quality culture, and ensure our quality systems are aligned with both regulatory requirements and business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic direction, execution, and continual improvement of company-wide Quality Management Systems (ASME, ISO 9001, AFC, NQA-1), ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.

  • Own and maintain all corporate QA programs, certifications, and licenses, ensuring audit readiness and successful renewals and accreditations.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve work control procedures and process documentation for shop and field operations.

  • Champion a culture of quality excellence through robust training, clear expectations, and employee empowerment.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits and regulatory bodies, leading audit preparation, execution, response, and closeout.

  • Oversee the development and application of key performance metrics and dashboards for quality performance, identifying trends, risks, and areas for improvement.

  • Direct the resolution of Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Reports (CARs), ensuring timely closure and systemic prevention of reoccurrence.

  • Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and field teams to mitigate quality risks in project planning, supplier evaluation, and execution phases.

  • Mentor and provide oversight to QA/QC staff across multiple departments and locations, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.

  • Ensure all quality programs are operationally integrated and cost-effective, contributing to project success and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in heavy fabrication, industrial and/or commercial construction, with extensive hands-on involvement in quality systems and operations.

  • Deep working knowledge of millwright, pipefitting, steel fabrication, and welding technology.

  • Proven experience managing ASME, ISO 9001, AFC, and NQA-1 quality systems in an industrial setting.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Construction Engineering preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead audits, maintain compliance, and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical, managerial, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in reading blueprints/drawings and experienced with Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Self-directed with strong judgment and problem-solving abilities.

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Director is responsible for setting the tone and direction of all quality-related activities within the company. You will design systems, provide leadership, and ensure that every aspect of our business-fabrication, field services, engineering, and procurement-is held to the highest standards. Your leadership will ensure practical and cost-effective application of codes and standards while safeguarding compliance and customer satisfaction.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $150,000 annually
