Overview

NV5's Construction Management Internship program is looking for college students who have completed at least two full years of undergraduate study to join our Student Worker Program. NV5's CM Program gives students the opportunity to learn about construction management for heavy civil transportation infrastructure project. The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with teams that are excited to share their professional experience as they work on projects together. The intern will be immersed in all phases of a project and will hopefully walk away better prepared to start their career in Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management.

Responsibilities

The intern will be immersed in all phases of a current NV5 project. Typical responsibilities include assisting the CM team with general and project administration tasks, shadowing construction inspectors, assisting with preparing WORD and EXCEL documents.



Qualifications

This is an internship experience, not a full time role.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled and completed two full years of undergraduate study by May 2025 prior to start of assignment.
  • Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies the semester immediately following the internship.
  • At least a 3.0 GPA
  • Be legally authorized to work in the US and not require immigration sponsorship
  • Proficiency with Microsoft WORD, EXCEL.

Skills Preferred:

  • Engineering majors preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals * Effective written and verbal communication * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Strong technical and organizational abilities
  • Self-starter
  • Team oriented

The pay range for this California position is $20.00- $25.00 per hour.
