Position Summary

The Sr. DevOps Administrator works with other IT groups and business units to design, build, manage, and maintain data center and cloud applications and the platforms they are hosted on.
This position will be primarily remote.


Duties And Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure on Azure using Terraform.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Able to work independently on projects without supervision.
  • Regularly able to make difficult or architectural decisions without escalation.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 5 years of IT Infrastructure experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Azure cloud services and Terraform.
  • Availability to participate in after-hours emergency on call rotation.
  • Knowledge of automation of infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of scoping activities for complicated, large-scale technology infrastructure projects.

DESIRED:

  • Experience with administration of Kubernetes, HDInsight, Kafka, MongoDB, SQL Server, Containerization.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Candidate must be driven to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Must have strong desire to research and understand systems and issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills - this role works primarily with a blend of many different technical disciplines.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
