Overview

An Electrical Maintenance Service Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling electrical maintenance services to commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. This role combines technical knowledge with strong sales and customer service skills to identify client needs, propose tailored service solutions, and close contracts. Representatives work closely with engineering and service teams to ensure quality and compliance, while also building long-term customer relationships. Success in this role requires a solid understanding of electrical systems, excellent communication, and a strategic approach to business development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Promote TEGG C.A.R.E. objectives.
  • Leadership communication coordination with TEGG GM, TEGG Sales Manager, TEGG Administrative Coordinator.
  • Attend and complete TEGG training as required, implement TEGG MSR business mod.
  • Implement and 100% comply with the MSR job duties as trained and required with 0% deviation Prospect and qualify sales opportunities.
  • Understand sales prospects organization and decision-making process and commit prospect to a decision making time table.
  • Schedule presentations, close sales.
  • Survey Electrical systems and interpret electrical drawings.
  • Prepare pricing and proposals for internal review and delivery to customers.
  • Delivery and review report with DES Sales Representative at customer turnover meeting.
  • Promptly address customer concerns in maintaining long-term positive relationships with 100% annual rate of Agreement Renewals

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Understanding of NFPA 70E and other electrical safety codes.
  • Technical certifications (e.g., Electrical Technician, OSHA Safety).
  • Experience in B2B service sales or technical sales.

Objective Measures of Performance:

  • TEGG Weekly Sales Activity Report
  • Proposal Activity Log
  • Exploratory Call Meetings - 6 per week
  • PSE Meetings - 3 per week
  • Option Development Meeting -3 per week
  • Solutions Presentation -3 per week
  • Maintenance Bookings-1 per week

Key Targeted Results (KTR):

  1. Annual Booking Quota - 3X Base Salary
  2. 100% Agreement Renewals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of project management software/tools is a plus.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
