Oracle DBA - Exadata Location: Anywhere in United States (remote) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with 7 to 9 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux Exadata DMA Oracle Golden Gate and Oracle. This role involves working in a hybrid model with day shifts. The candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our infrastructure to ensure seamless operations. Responsibilities * Manage and maintain Linux servers to ensure high availability and performance. * Oversee the administration of Exadata DMA to optimize database performance. * Implement and manage Oracle Golden Gate for data replication and integration. * Provide support for Oracle databases ensuring their stability and security. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions. * Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. * Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline infrastructure management. * Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. * Conduct regular system audits and generate reports on system health and performance. * Assist in capacity planning and scaling of infrastructure resources. * Provide technical guidance and support to team members. * Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements. * Contribute to the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Qualifications * Possess strong expertise in Linux server management and administration. * Have extensive experience with Exadata DMA for database optimization. * Demonstrate proficiency in Oracle Golden Gate for data replication. * Show in-depth knowledge of Oracle database administration. * Exhibit excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. * Have experience in scripting and automation for infrastructure management. * Display strong collaboration and communication skills. * Be familiar with security best practices and compliance requirements. * Have a proactive approach to learning and implementing new technologies. * Show ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model. * Demonstrate strong analytical and reporting skills. * Have experience in capacity planning and resource scaling. * Possess knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Certifications are plus: * Oracle Certified Professional * Linux Professional Institute Certification * Oracle GoldenGate 12c Certified Implementation Specialist ***Applications will be accepted till 5/1/25 Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position [$99,000 to $133,000] is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
