Intermittent Speech-Language Pathologist

The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is specialized in evaluation of speech, voice, and swallowing across various patient populations. The SLPs knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, and function of the aerodigestive tract uniquely qualifies this professional to aid in diagnosis, treatment, and therapy for acute and chronic swallowing disorders. The SLP will collaborate with a larger team that will likely include Otolaryngologists, researchers, pulmonologists and/or various other research and clinical personnel.

Minimum Education Required

Masters level degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Required Qualifications

Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA)

Ohio Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology

Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical setting is preferred

Advanced competency in completing Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) Studies, Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), and therapeutic delivery is preferred.

Work Schedule

This position is an intermittent, varying schedule at less than 50% FTE (less than 20 hours per week). Work hours may vary depending on patient/participant schedule. Hours will primarily be on weekdays, with weekend hours as needed.
