Wieland is hiring a Shipping Warehouse Lead. The Shipping Warehouse Lead will be responsible to perform all finished goods warehouse job responsibilities in accordance with set standards and company policy. This role is located in Lake Zurich, IL and will be fully on-site.

Hourly Pay Range: $21 - $29

Work Schedule: 6am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday

Pay Schedule: Weekly

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include but are not limited to years of eperience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc.

Responsibilities:

* Assists production and customer service in planning and assigning daily work
* In the absence of Supervisor/Manager, coordinate the activities of shipping personnel
* Picks and labels finished good boxes
* Stacks and loads product on trailers and skids
* Operates forklifts, manual and electric pallet jacks, lift tables and overhead cranes
* Efficiently stages product in and out of warehouse locations
* Uses Vantage as a tool for inventory adjustments, inventory locations, inventory inquiries, label production, order transactions and print pick lists
* Reads and prepares all forms pertaining to inventory transfer
* Prepares/understands all forms and reports pertaining to the shipment and processing of product and oversee shipping team to do this accurately
* Follows packaging instructions listed on job router
* Suggests process improvements and be a change agent following through when change is necessary
* Maintains packaging supply inventory
* Take ownership and be accountable for department's overall performance, cleanliness and operations
* Knowledge of customer portals for freight charges and shipping methods
* Help with back-up for scrap handler
* Help with maintenance of racking and storage
* Train employees on forklifts and other transport equipment

Qualifications:

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
* Knowledge of basic mathematics
* Basic forklift safety

COURSEWORK OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or GED required
* Prior manufacturing experience in a job shop preferred
* Trained and licensed in operation of forklifts

LICENSES
* Driver's license
* Forklift license
