Summary:

The Hershey Company is looking for a Sr Manager, Commerce & Experiences to help design, develop and grow the technical foundation needed to enable a multi-year digital strategy. The role will work closely with cross-functional teams to advise, define and deliver solutions & capabilities supporting the Commercial Organization in alignment with business and IS strategy. Digital Commerce is a key priority area, fast moving with aggressive goals. An ideal candidate should bring in deep expertise and be a quick learner to help make an immediate impact to our business capabilities.

The role is expected to have successfully delivered, with multiple demonstrated results, on one or more Digital Commerce models (B2B, B2C, D2C) and web experience capabilities (search, compliance, payment processing, digital marketing, personalization, loyalty, etc). He/she should have experience with one or multiple packaged eCommerce solution (e.g. SAP, Salesforce, Magento etc.). The role should have significant experience with web technologies, integration with digital asset management, product information management, content management systems, identity management, CRM and data security/privacy (CCPA/GDPR/etc...). This role will also be expected to lead Hershey's non-transactional sites (corporate, Hersheyland, etc) as well as partner with international team members on their web experiences. Understanding headless architecture and CMS capabilities is a must.

The successful candidate should be adept at working in a matrix organization within Information Services and partner teams. They should be a thought leader with in-depth knowledge, bringing end to end experience from demand conversion to fulfilment. CPG and Retail experience in an omnichannel environment is a plus. Working in a consulting role, is a plus. Strong communication, presentation, strategy, and business relationship management skills are required.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with business partners to advise, define, and deliver capabilities supporting digital commerce capabilities in alignment with business and IS strategy.
  • Provide subject matter expertise with deep functional expertise and solid technical knowledge to help address critical business problems in a scalable and sustainable fashion.
  • Maintain prioritized requirements for capabilities to be developed utilizing agile development framework
  • Manage internal teams, implementation partners, and external agencies to help facilitate building and deployment of capabilities.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable and can be sustained with close adherence to reference architectures from the enterprise architecture team and following security policies.
  • Utilize deep knowledge to effectively work with implementation partners and development teams to efficiently translate business requirements into functional capabilities.
  • Use expert knowledge of Digital Commerce ecosystem (web technologies, integrations, information security, etc....) to deliver solution designs.
  • Bring expertise to help develop a more integrated digital ecosystem focused on process optimization, automation, and increased speed to market
  • Work with partners and agencies to manage relationships and ensure agencies are performing on defined SLA's and meeting agreed goals.
  • Develop and maintain the strategic vision and 3-year roadmap for Digital Commerce & Experience capabilities supporting the long-term business strategy, technology changes and new capabilities.

Dimensions:



  • Business Transformation and/or IS Leadership Role for eCommerce and content capabilities on key implementation projects. Proficiency in B2B, B2C and D2C capabilities.
  • Engage with business and IS teams to jointly develop strategic direction, roadmap for technology and tactical implementation of eCommerce capabilities
  • Represent requirements and priorities within IS to ensure effective support, deployment of new capabilities and enhancements
  • Interfaces include but are not limited to other solution managers, the PMO, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, development, data & analytics, and support organizations.



Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Experience:



  • 10+ years' experience in IT and/or platform delivery leadership role, developing and implementing innovative solutions, collaborating with business partners across functions, and delivering within a change management process.
  • 3+ years of consumer-packaged goods industry and/or retail experience
  • 4+ years of Digital Commerce experience with B2B and B2C model
  • Experience implementing web technology solutions in a large-scale, global environment
  • 5+ years successfully managing projects across a strategic portfolio or for multiple business units and delivering initiatives with a positive ROI.
  • Experience with middleware technologies such as MuleSoft and integrating with SAP back-office ERP platforms
  • System development experience including on-premise and SaaS software packages, custom development, and systems integration.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology with strong DevOps background
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of delivering against multiple priorities and multiple product lines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong business account and customer relationship management skills. Demonstrated ability to work closely with internal customers, across all levels including executives.
  • Established track record of managing onsite and offsite technical resources through the full software/project life cycle.
  • Project management skills; financial/budget management, scheduling and resource management.
  • Ability to interact effectively with business executives and possess executive presence
  • Strong oral/written communication, presentation, and organizational skills



Education:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or STEM related field.

MBA is preferred
