About the Job

Casual position, no more than 14 hours per week.

Duties include:

  • Maintaining records required for animals studies, including data entry, quality control checks, scanning, and filing.
  • Complete training and research occupational health requirements to assist with laboratory animal procedures.
  • Obtain and record weekly body weight data, administer treatments, and assist with anesthesia and surgical or necropsy procedures.
  • Facility and equipment cleaning and monitoring.
  • Support weekend shifts for animal monitoring, treatments, and equipment monitoring per preclinical study requirements.

About the Department

The Center for Translational Medicine (CTM) in the Office of Academic and Clinical Affairs provides a spectrum of research, testing, and advisory services to inventors of novel medicines, therapies and devices from early-stage proof of concept models through the final stages of preclinical testing and into early clinical trials.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $28/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
