Role Summary:

At Thomson Reuters we are recruiting a team of motivated data professionals to transform how we manage and leverage our data assets. This is a unique opportunity to join a inclusive and global team. The Data & Analytics organization is looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual for the position of Director, Strategy and Relationships.This role will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to internal teams, embedding data and analytics perspectives into their core processes. You will support the development and refinement of the Data & Analytics strategic plan. You will champion the expertise of and value delivered by the Data & Analytics team, and help stakeholders navigate the team to find the right support and resources at the right stages of their projects. You will be part of the Data & Analytics organization, whose strategic goal is to create a world-class Data & Analytics company by building, embedding, and maturing a data-driven culture across Thomson Reuters.

About the Role

In this role as Director, Strategy and Relationships, you will focus on

  • Strategic Planning Support: Assist in defining and refining the data and analytics strategic plan in alignment with the company's overall objectives, collaborating with senior leadership to ensure the strategic plan is actionable and measurable. Measure performance against the plan, including assisting with setting Objectives and Key Results.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and implement a comprehensive stakeholder engagement model to facilitate effective communication and collaboration, working with key stakeholder groups to understand their needs, expectations, and opportunities. Monitor stakeholder satisfaction and engagement levels and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build Strong Partnerships:Develop and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders across various departments, positioning yourself as the go-to resource for all data and analytics needs.
  • Value Framework: Develop and own a value framework for Data & Analytics, establishing clear approaches and guidelines for quantifying business impact, aligning types of value with different parts of the team, setting up robust collection methods, and effectively visualizing and communicating to a broad, non-technical audience.
  • Embed Early & Often:Integrate into the strategic planning, project initiation, and design phases of internal teams to ensure data and analytics considerations are addressed from the outset.
  • Communicate Value and Showcase Success:Clearly articulate the value proposition and diverse capabilities of the Data & Analytics team to both technical and non-technical audiences and highlight success stories and case studies that demonstrate the tangible, business outcomes achieved through data and analytics.
  • Facilitate Seamless Collaboration:Bridge the gap between stakeholders and the Data & Analytics team, translating business needs into technical requirements and ensuring projects align with overall organizational objectives.

About You

You are a fit for the role of Director, Strategy and Relationships, if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Analytics, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years relevant work experience.
  • Background working with or within data and analytics teams is highly desirable.
  • Experience leading large scale digital transformation projects.
  • Experience interacting with senior executive level clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex relationships.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, project management, and process optimization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust among colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment where prioritization and adaptability are essential.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $154,000 - $286,000.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
