Overview

Coaches, councils and trains the team(s) to improve individual skills. Manages a subset of the team to include assisting manager with resourcing /planning, supports strategic initiatives, vendor management, and the JFG user experience. Evaluate, implement, and support new and existing projects / initiatives that promote efficiency, leverage technology, reduce risk and/or reduce costs. Collaborates closely with leaders across the organization.

Acts in the capacity of the department manager in their absence.

Position Specific Responsibilities

  1. Works to develop team skillset to ensure ability to support functions in an evolving environment.
  2. Assists in developing department strategy and budgets to successfully meet corporate targets and goals.
  3. Identifies Risks and mitigates controls as they pertain to the systems the team administers.
  4. Directs and manages oversight project activities.
  5. Supports corporate initiatives and collaborates with various LOB's and product development team on platform and application enhancement and conversions.
  6. Reviews internal ticketing system to ensure metrics & SLA's are achieved
  7. Responsible for the formulation of team documentation and department procedures.
  8. Assists with formulation of department systems Business Continuity processes.
  9. Manages resolution of large, complex systems issues.
  10. Responsible for forecasting staffing resources.

Job Requirements - Education, Knowledge and Skills

  1. 3-7 years of strong / proven management skills.
  2. 5-10 years operational experience with strong knowledge across multiple functions.
  3. 2 years related banking experience with knowledge across operations functions.
  4. Working knowledge of systems the Banking Systems team administers, desired.
  5. Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  6. Experience with system conversions and bank mergers and acquisitions considered a plus.
