Brightview Senior Living is looking for a very special individual to join our Vibrant Living (Activities and Programming) team. As residents age in place and prepare to move from Assisted Living into our memory care neighborhood, it would be very beneficial for them to engage in some of the memory care programming as well as additional one on one activities. If you have a passion for connecting with those who have memory care needs, this could be an amazing opportunity for you!


Responsibilities

  • Get to know the residents of Brightview so that you can help with the planning and implementation of spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural and emotional programming that will make residents feel engaged and fulfilled.
  • Lead and participate in small and large group activities as well as occasionally engaging in one to one programs.
  • Redirect residents by providing companionship and by engaging them in meaningful activities.
  • Communicate updates about their loved one's day by sharing what we like to call "Bright moments."
  • Those 21 or over may occasionally drive the company vehicle to transport residents to and from events.
  • Help set up and break down events and activities.
  • Will coordinate with Activities Director and Memory Care Director regarding program planning and budgets.
  • Participate in care plan meetings with Health & Wellness team and families.
  • Facilitate resident transition from Elevations program into Memory Care as appropriate.

Salary Range

USD $21.00 - USD $24.25 /Hr.

Compensation Disclosure

The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' experience in a senior living environment specifically in working with seniors living with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
  • Preferred Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) certification
  • Strong skillset and proven success in developing individualized programs based on cognitive abilities and preferences.

  • Ability to implement non-pharmaceutical interventions.
  • Adapting communication strategies for communication and engagement.
  • Professionals need a specialized skill set that balances clinical knowledge, emotional intelligence, and strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to connect with others and foster social interaction and emotional support for our residents through group and 1:1 engagement.
  • Promote healthy brain stimulation by focusing on brain health education and brain-boosting foods.
