Responsibilities:
Perform diversified light and heavy assembly of mechanical parts and components for a wide variety of both small and large enclosed drive units. Participate in field service calls to customer locations to tear down and analyze complex enclose drive units. Work from complex drawings and blueprints, sketches; hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical diagrams; parts lists, operations sheets, specifications and instructions to plan work operations, including sequence of work. Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Maintain required time, production and quality records Determine and report any inefficiencies, defective materials, unusual conditions and machining issues Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required Prefer 3-5 years' experience in a similar capacity Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications required Use and interpret precision measuring instruments Good math, language, reading skills Analytical skills Attention to detail Visual Acuity Physical stamina and strength Some lifting of various weights, both assisted and unassisted Drive and Operate Forklift; may be required Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills Shop environment, exposed to shop elements May work in tight and/or cramped spaces Walking, standing, lifting, stooping, reaching Handle tools and assemble mechanical components Use crane or other device for heavy lifting Responsible for the safety and clean-up of own area Teamwork and communication skills Must be authorized to work in the US |
