Description

Job Summary:

As an Inventory Clerk I, you will be responsible for the movement of incoming and outgoing inventory and will properly track and deliver materials needed in the production process. You will also interface with functional areas within the supply chain coordinating material needs and supply and demand at the tactical level.

Essential Functions:



  • Responsible for all data entry transactions.
  • Receive all incoming materials.
  • Issue material as required per schedule, pick lists and purchase orders.
  • Ship materials, as necessary.
  • Operate various powered industrial trucks.
  • Complete cycle counting as required per department procedures and processes.
  • Maintain work area in a safe and clean fashion.
  • Maintain appropriate paperwork and supporting documentation.
  • Interface with manufacturing directly to coordinate material needs.
  • Manage material returns from manufacturing.
  • Operate the sheeters.
  • Operate the meter area manifesting and postal equipment.

  • Ability to work with limited direction and supervision.
  • Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
  • Must successfully complete any training or certification courses required to support or strengthen position.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.
  • Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.


Working Conditions/Physical Demands:



  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to
  • 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Required to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or use controls, tools or equipment.
  • May require the ability to use a keyboard and other office equipment.
  • May require specific vision abilities that include close vision.
  • May be required to perform concentrated work for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift, carry or exert items or objects of reasonable weight.
  • May be required to perform duties beyond standard business hours.


Minimum Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous inventory, warehouse or shipping and receiving experience is preferred.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Forklift License.
