As a Sanitation Lead, you will oversee the Sanitation Department, ensuring all equipment and facilities are cleaned and ready for production. You will manage sanitation schedules, train staff, and coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime. Your role includes conducting inspections, handling chemicals safely, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:



  • Leverage your experience, skills, and training to lead the sanitation team in maintaining cleanliness across production, warehouse, packing, general staff, and office areas during your shift.
  • Assign tasks to sanitation team members and review the standards achieved after each task.
  • Complete basic and assigned sanitation tasks within the designated shift time.
  • Assist with washing floors, drains, walls, ceilings, and other areas according to a specific schedule or as needed.
  • Ensure each team member operates equipment safely and adheres to safety protocols during their shift.
  • Assign personnel for detailed cleaning of production line parts during down-days.
  • Maintain and complete sanitation records accurately.
  • Prepare the facility for company visits and audits.
  • Perform sanitation inventory checks.
  • Work to enhance the quality, legality, and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture.
  • Keep assigned work areas clean and tidy at all times and report any potential contamination or suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:




  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.



  • Previous Experience in baking environment beneficial, not essential.



  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.



  • Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred.
