WebMD/Medscape is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of projects within our PMO framework . This role requires strong project coordination, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure seamless execution of technical initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC processes, and project management tools to drive efficiency and collaboration in a highly matrixed environment .
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Program Management:
  • Lead and oversee technical projects of varying sizes, ensuring timely execution and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Coordinate project scope, timelines, resources, and deliverables to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Track multiple workstreams and deployments while maintaining clear documentation.
Agile & Scrum Leadership:
  • Act as a Scrum Master for designated teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, team collaboration, and sprint planning.
  • Drive Agile adoption and improve team performance through coaching and process enhancements.
Risk & Change Management:
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate risks , ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Manage project change requests , dependencies, and potential roadblocks.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure team roadmaps and status updates are accurate and visible across the organization.
  • Tailor communication strategies to enhance stakeholder engagement and satisfaction .
Process Improvement & PMO Contribution:
  • Contribute to the evolution of PMO processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and implement best practices in process management to improve project execution and delivery.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of project management experience in a technology-driven or web publishing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and a solid understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment .
  • Skilled in project management office tools such as JIRA, Confluence .
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills .
  • Ability to work independently , prioritize tasks, and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills , including stakeholder management and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMI certification (e.g., CSM, PMP, or equivalent).
  • Process management experience , including workflow optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Airtable and Smartsheet .
  • BA degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
