Responsibilities This position is within the High Frequency Technology Center (HFTC) at our Headquarters in Santa Rosa, CA. HFTC is part of Keysight Labs, the core R&D organization that enables Centers of Excellence and other business groups to provide RF, microwave, mmWave, 5G and 6G solutions to customers in various industries, including communications, aerospace & defense, automotive & energy, general electronics, manufacturing, and semiconductor industries. HFTC technologies include InP and GaAs-based HBTs, HEMTs, and diodes, as well as high-frequency System in Package (SiP) and PCA subsystem solutions. Responsibilities: The IC Product Engineering group acts as a vital link between the design, process, and test teams, and the product line and customers. We ensure that high-quality ICs are delivered to our customers and that our product lines remain operational and efficient. The primary responsibilities of an IC Product Engineer include:
A day in the life of an IC Product Engineer A day in the life of an IC Product Engineer may begin by addressing a low IC test yield. You'll start by analyzing the test data to pinpoint the root cause and quickly resolve any test-related issues. Later in the day, you might respond to a customer request regarding a line or field failure, performing root cause analysis to identify and resolve the problem. Providing technical support to customers and addressing their concerns is a key part of your role. Each day is dynamic and challenging, offering opportunities to apply your technical expertise, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement and innovation in IC technology. A successful engineer in this job is highly motivated, possesses a strong sense of ownership, and consistently drives progress to effectively resolve problems.
