Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm with offices in major commercial, legal, and governmental hubs worldwide, is seeking an Intelligence Automation Manager. The Intelligence Automation Manager is part of the Digital Transformation team working to define and support a product portfolio that supports our practice groups and will play a pivotal role in driving innovation through leveraging automation, AI, and legal technology solutions to optimize processes and drive operational excellence.

This position may reside in either our Boston, New York City, Philadelphia or Washington DC office and offers a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team responsible for technology evaluation and implementation, RPA development, and AI-product development.

  • Collaborate with user experience and service design teams to incorporate feedback to ensure user-centric solutions.

  • Develop and execute change management strategies to foster high adoption of AI and automation initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.

  • Liaise between internal teams and external suppliers ensuring stakeholder requirements are met.

  • Oversee the selection and implementation of legal technology solutions.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and AI solutions by collaborating with stakeholders and business partners to analyze workflows, discover areas for efficiency gains, and determine how automation and/or AI can be utilized.

  • Direct development and implementation of RPA workflows to streamline document processing, compliance checks, and administrative tasks.

  • Manage AI and automation product lifecycle with external development partners, ensuring alignment on product goals and stakeholder expectations.

  • Supervise and mentor A&AI analysts to cultivate a high-performing innovation team.

  • Lead cross-functional project teams in iterative solution development (Agile/Scrum), ensuring rapid prototyping, testing, and refinement of new automation and AI solutions.

  • Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide professional development opportunities.

  • Cultivate a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented team culture.

  • In partnership with the Director, develop and execute a strategic roadmap for legal technology adoption, automation, and AI-driven initiatives.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and procurement best practices to keep the organization competitive.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field (Legal or IT background preferred).

  • 3-5+ years of experience in knowledge management, legal technology, project management, or similar roles.

  • Expertise in legal technology platforms, automation tools (UiPath, Power Automate, etc.), and AI applications preferred.

  • Strong background in legal technology, project management, and stakeholder collaboration.

  • Strong team leadership and project management experience.

  • Proven ability to work with cross-departmental stakeholders (IT, Legal, and Business teams).

  • Expertise in evaluating and implementing legal software (e.g., contract lifecycle management, clause comparison, workflow automation).

  • Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and software evaluation.

  • Exceptional problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate and engage with legal professionals with varying levels of technical proficiency.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based legal software and workflow automation tools.

  • Able to think creatively while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Adaptable to change and balancing competing demands.

  • Technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite including: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project; experience with design and product management tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Asana, Jira, Confluence) a plus.

For positions in New York NY, the salary range for this job posting is $124,200.00 - $198,600.00.

For positions in Washington DC., the salary range for this job posting is: $114,200.00 - $198,600.00.

The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
