Quality Supervisor

STS Technical Services is hiring Quality Supervisors in Ridgeland, South Carolina to oversee inspection processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives at TICO Manufacturing. This full-time position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the highest levels of quality across terminal tractor production lines.

As a Quality Supervisor, you'll manage a team of quality technicians while coordinating quality assurance and control activities across the manufacturing floor. You'll ensure that finished products meet strict compliance standards and support the implementation of quality improvement strategies. This is a hands-on role that requires leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to drive meaningful change across departments.

• Supervise and mentor quality technicians including task delegation, training, and evaluations
  
• Plan and maintain inspection schedules to ensure full production coverage
  
• Oversee adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process
  
• Conduct audits and identify quality deviations in products and processes
  
• Enforce quality control procedures to prevent defects and ensure product reliability
  
• Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable quality systems
  
• Review inspection reports, non-conformance records, and corrective actions
  
• Lead quality initiatives that improve overall product and process performance
  
• Analyze quality metrics to identify root causes and trends
  
• Work closely with engineering and production to implement process corrections
  
• Address non-conformance using structured problem-solving tools
  
• Train quality staff on best practices, procedures, and inspection techniques
  
• Promote a culture of accountability and quality awareness
  
• Prepare and share reports on quality performance and improvements
  
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of inspection tools and testing equipment
  
• Manage inventory of quality control tools and inspection supplies
  

• Experience with heavy equipment manufacturing preferred
  
• Strong leadership and people management skills
  
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and other QMS methodologies
  
• Skilled in root cause analysis and continuous improvement strategies
  
• Proficient in interpreting data and using quality control tools
  
• Effective communicator who can work cross-functionally
  
• Knowledgeable in quality control software and measurement equipment
  

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
  
• Minimum 5 years of quality experience in manufacturing
  
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
  

• Must be comfortable working outside a climate-controlled environment for extended periods
  
• PPE is required on the production floor, including safety shoes and eye protection
