What you'll do

We are looking for a Strategy & Operations Principal to join our Sales Strategy & Operations team. This person will lead Program Management for the Global Sales & Partner organizations. The Strategy & Operations Principal will lead a small team of PMs, will support strategic initiatives using project/program management and communication skills while establishing partnerships with internal and cross-functional partners. This person must have the skills to become a trusted advisor, be a fast-learner and a source of truth and do it with professionalism. The Strategy & Operations Principal drives and supports their team on projects and initiatives to completion by ensuring that stakeholders are aligned through the entire lifecycle of a program. The Strategy & Operations Principal is also aligned with managing ongoing program needs when required. The successful candidate will be well organized and a great communicator, with a strong bias for action and thrives in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Vice President of Sales Strategy & Operations.

Responsibility

  • Lead and manage a small team of program managers supporting their growth, helping them problem solve, and working to match their passions with the programs they drive

  • Partner with GTM Strategy & Operations and cross functional teams to drive the business forward

  • Lead executive engagement discussions that drive company decisions and establish action plans once decisions are made

  • Become a trusted advisor for cross functional business partners on strategy

  • Become the go-to expert on the areas of the business you support

  • Support ongoing project / program needs for the Sales organization

  • Lead and run RTB (run the business) to transformational (and everything in between) projects and programs based on initiatives related to the GTM Strategy & Operations and business operations

  • Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of projects and manage dependencies between teams

  • Steer teams/projects to on-time and high quality execution

  • Develop program objectives, scope, completion criteria and success metrics by involving all relevant stakeholders

  • Create and maintain comprehensive program / project documentation, including status reports, trackers, meeting notes and action items

  • Provide accurate, thorough and timely reporting and communication of progress against projects and programs

  • Evaluate existing processes, drive process improvement and share best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness

  • Participate in strategy development for the Sales Strategy & Operations PMO function

  • Leverage both advanced functional and business knowledge to routinely provide key contributions into functional and cross-functional strategic, business and operational plans, programs and projects

  • Lead projects or work that enable the Sales Strategy & Operations PMO function to achieve short- and long-range strategic goals and objectives

  • Represent the Sales Strategy & Operations PMO function at varying organizational levels across Docusign

  • Influences the short- and long-range direction of the Sales Strategy & Operations PMO function and contributes to the same cross-functionally


Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, discipline related to industry, or skill sets that can be translated to program management initiatives
  • Minimum of 12+ years project and program management experience supporting corporate/business/executive programs particularly in areas of cross functional run the business initiatives and transformational initiatives
  • Experience in executive engagement and driving business decisions in a complex environment

Preferred

  • Highly skilled at stakeholder engagement, influence and management
  • MBA
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for ICs up to C-level; able to facilitate meetings, create charters, create executive overviews, create project plans and trackers, work on risk mitigation, coordinate team events / meetings, and communicate effectively with senior leadership
  • Strong strategic partner, but be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and doing tactical work
  • Comfortable working in virtual meeting environments like ZOOM
  • Experience in Google Workspace products including slides, documents, sheets, forms and sites
  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to manage complex schedules for stakeholders, leadership and cross-functional teams

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $151,800.00 - $245,150.00 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $145,800.00 - $205,950.00 base salary

Washington, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $145,800.00 - $214,350.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
