Editorial (Summer) Internship

Location: Remote

Job Type: Part-Time

Duration: April 2025 - August 2025

Pay: $15/hour

Weekly Hours: 10

Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Part-time Editorial Intern to join the editorial team. You will support the editorial team with various tasks, including manuscript formatting and tracking, author correspondence, research, and content development. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the medical editing field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with peer-review process to include manuscript tracking and obtaining author forms
  • Assist with AMA-style manuscript formatting as needed.
  • Help maintain editorial calendars and assist with project timelines.
  • Support the team with administrative tasks related to editorial workflows.
  • Assist with social media content creation and strategy when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Recent 2025 High School graduate, or rising freshman at an accredited institution, with a focus on English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in writing and editing (through coursework, personal projects, or prior internships) is preferred.

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow editorial guidelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined
